Charley - ram lamb

Charley is entirely coated in dalmation spotting. Every white area on his body is coated. When he was first born, he looked like cookies and cream ice cream. I tried to get him named Cookies because of it, but the children named him Charley in spite of my suggestion.

Charley is a twin from a first-time mother. She had her lambs without any assistance and has been an exemplary mother. His brother is also available. Scroll down to see his pictures.

He has a phenomenal fleece. It is finely crimped, silky, and has a nice density and length. He would be a fantastic ram for a fiber focused flock.

Charley is very friendly and will follow you around begging for pets.

Carlos - ram lamb - SOLD

Carlos is Charley’s brother. He is a black badger piebald with dalmation spotting hiding under that silvery fleece. You can see this in the white parts of his legs.

He has a phenomenal fleece. It is finely crimped, silky, and has a nice density and length. He would be a fantastic ram for a fiber focused flock.

Carlos is friendly and will approach you sometimes, but he isn’t a pest. He is very calm and has a lovely temperament.

Freckles II - ram lamb - SOLD

Freckles comes from one of our best mothers. She lambs with no trouble, cares for her lambs very well, and produces enough milk to grow them very quickly. Now in her second lactation, she is producing enough milk to be borderline dairy quality. Her lambing record is 1, 3.

Freckles II has a very soft, silky, lustrous fleece with lovely crimp. He also has very nice length and density. He will be a wonderful fleece producer and will be perfect for a fiber flock.

Freckles II is sweet and easy to approach, but he will not come up to you for attention.

Terrier - ram lamb

Terrier comes from an especially maternal family. His mother, grandmother, and aunt are all excellent mothers who take excellent care of their lambs. All of them also produce a good amount of milk and grow large and robust lambs.

His mother had twins as a first-time mom. His grandmother’s lambing record is 2, 3.

His fleece is very fine and soft with nice crimp. He has a decent amount of Dalmatian spotting mostly concentrated around his front end.

Terrier is very sweet and friendly. You can easily approach him and pet him. He will approach you at times but doesn’t follow you around.

Nice-y - ram lamb

Nice-y (named by a 6 year old) comes from an especially maternal family.

He doesn’t have as much Dalmatian spotting as his brother Terrier, but he has a little tiny bit sprinkled around his body.

Nice-y is calm and somewhat approachable. He is not as friendly as his brother, but you can approach him as long as you do so calmly. He will not approach you.

Moose - ram lamb - SOLD

Moose is a twin from a first-time mom. We are retaining his sister. His mother has such good maternal instincts that she had her lambs in with the general population and had them cleaned off, dry, fed, and bouncing around on a very cold morning before I even knew she was in labor. She has very good milk production, and I am excited to have her in my flock.

His fleece is very fine and soft and has nice length and density. His crimp is somewhat midway between wavy and very tight. I think it will end up being much like his father’s fleece that you can see in the photo on the right.

Moose is very friendly and calm. You can easily approach him, but he generally doesn’t pester you for attention.

Colonel Sanders - ram lamb - SOLD

Colonel Sanders is our only white ram. He carries color from his father. It could be either black or brown as his father carries one copy of each.

Cl Sanders’ mother is our milkiest sheep. She has dairy level milk production and has teat placement that can be easily milked. She is an excellent mother and had her three cleaned off and fed in the wee hours of the morning without needing me at all. Her lambing record is 2, 4, 3.

His mother also has one of our best fleeces. It is very fine, very soft, very finely crimped, very silky, and very lustrous. All of her lambs, including Cl Sanders, have the same type of fleece.

Cl Sanders is not super friendly although his sisters are. You have to be a bit sneaky to catch him, but he is fine once you have him.

Cl Sanders would be perfect for both a dairy or a fiber flock.

Whitehead - ram lamb - SOLD

Whitehead (another one named by the 6 year old) is a really intriguing gray color. He looked black HST when he was born, but as he has been growing, he has been turning more and more gray.

His mother is a phenomenal mother and takes really good care of her lambs. She also has very high milk production and grows robust lambs. She isn’t quite dairy level but is almost there. You could milk her a bit now in her second lactation. Her lambing record is 2, 3.

Whitehead has a very soft and nicely crimped fleece. Both of his parents have extremely dense and heavy fleece, and I think he is going to follow in their footsteps.

Whitehead is very sweet and friendly. You can easily approach him and he often approaches you, but he generally isn’t a pest.

Bob - ram lamb

Bob is a triplet from a first-time mother. She has had no trouble managing and feeding her three. She is a bit small, and her three lambs are also on the smaller side. I think they are just a bit more petite than the others, and their smaller size is not a sign of lack of food. If you want to keep your sheep a bit smaller instead of pursuing ever larger sheep, he is your guy.

His grandmother is also in our flock and is our highest milk producing ewe.

Bob’s is very soft, very fine, and very nicely crimped. It is also incredibly lustrous. He practically shines because of the luster.

Bob is sweet and friendly. You can approach him fairly easily, but he will not approach you.

Banjo - ram lamb

Banjo is from a litter of 6 lambs. Sadly, two of them passed away either during birth or shortly after, so his mother has only been raising 4 of them. She has had absolutely no trouble doing so and is producing a tremendous amount of milk. I don’t doubt that she could have raised all 6 had they all survived.

His mother is one of our heaviest fleece producers. Her fleece is remarkably dense while still being very fine, soft, and nicely crimped. His father also produces a tremendously dense fleece that is also soft and nicely crimped. Banjo’s fleece is very soft and is coming in nicely. I expect him to follow in his parent’s footsteps with his fleece.

Banjo is not super friendly and prefers you stay at arm’s length. He is not super wild though. A happy medium where he is neither super friendly nor super unfriendly.
